Awww I like this one too! Tack Risto! :-) Unfortunately shortly after this pic was taken I somehow fell off the bench. Thankfully my favourite "Nurse Annika" was there to pick me up off the floor! :o)

3-in-1 Party

We threw a party yesterday to finally celebrate my 30th b-day (from last year!!), both our birthdays this year and christened the house. Good to see that some found an alternative way to use the table confetti....!

He's come to stay with us for 1week and brought his pet rat with him. Sweet!

Conservatory: Finished!

Finally! Apart from some shelves and small bits and pieces the conservatory is now finished! It took us longer than I thought it would but actually cost MUCH less than we'd budgeted for so we're quite chuffed to say the least. ;-)

And this is how it looked to begin with.......!

Conservatory: Almost finished!

The floor is almost finished and has been a bloody nightmare because the base wasn't level to start with. So after much packing and levelling and swearing (lots of swearing!) we've got the laminate 98% stable and secure over the whole floor. Now we've given up for the day because the temperature has soared to over 30 deg in there.

Wallpapering

Now the big wall is done! :-D

Conservatory- Shaping up!

Cracking on with the wallpaper and paint. The steps are now painted and the renovation wallpaper is up and can now be painted too.

And now the paint has been slapped on and the steps have gotten their final coat. Great stuff!

Levelling the floor as best as I can to take out the worst dips and irregularities. And yes, I do have a huge hole in my jeans but I am wearing underwear!!! ;-))
Meanwhile, Christel has been painting and has done a fantastic job! ;-D

Plasterboards and insulation

Finally things are starting to take shape (meaning the wall, not me unfortunately!)

Et voilà!! How's that for precision! I'll do the plastering this evening.

Not forgetting the outside panelling though, which is now painted. MUCH better than the plastic crap that was there before! :-D Don't forget, we take cash and cheques and give free estimates...hehehe! ;-)))

Weekly wine lottery

Just won the weekly wine lottery at work! Yay! Two bottles to me! A Riesling Spätlese and a Crémant d'Alsace. And all for 20kr. ;-)

A Clicgear golf cart. How exciting!!!! My old trolley "broke" (ahem) during a golf match last Sunday. Worth every hard-earned Swedish crown!

Well we've now got half of it up!

We spent all of yesterday in soaring heat pulling down the old plastic covering that was supposed to be a wall and are now constructing a proper wood panel wall with a proper concrete base, which has now set nicely! ;-)))
By the way, mixing concrete by hand is not recommended....!!
